I will raise up the Tabernacle of David

Amos 9.11 In that day will I raise up the tebernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:    12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the Lord that doeth this.

Acts 15.16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:     17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

It seems that the tabernacle of the congregation, made by Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, and which was pitched at Shiloh, came to an end during the time that the ark of the Covenant had been taken by the Phillistines, seven months; and had rested at the house of Abinadab for twenty years; and then at the house of Obed-edom the Gittite for three months. For when King David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord into the city of David, it was set in place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it.

2Sam.6.17 And they brought in the ark of the Lord, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: And David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.

The main difference between the tabernacle of the congregation and the tabernacle of David, is the music ministry inaugurated by King David.

1Ch.6.31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.    32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and they waited on their office according to their order.

1Ch.6.33 And these are they that waited with their children. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman a singer, the son of Joel, the son of Shemuel, 34 The son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,   35 The son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,    36 The son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah,    37 The son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah,     38 The son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.

1Ch.6.39 And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, even Asaph the son of Berachiah, the son of Shimea,   40 The son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchiah,    41 The son of Ethni, the son of Zerah, the son of Adaiah,    42 The son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei,    43 The son of Jahath, the son of Gershom, the son of Levi.

1Ch.6.44 And their brethren the sons of Merari stood on the left hand: Ethan the son of Kushi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,    45 The son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkiah,    46 The son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shamer,    47 The son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.

The fore-fathers of these three chosen singers were of the three families of Kohath, Gershom, and Merari, the sons of Levi, which were the families that carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord God of Israel and the sanctuary and the tabernacle, whenever the children of Israel set foward throughout their journeys in the wilderness. The singers in David's tabernacle, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan and their children were all from these three families of Levites.

1Ch.15.1 David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.    2 Then David said, none ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them has the Lord chosen ot carry the ark of God, and to minister unto Him forever.    3 And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the Lord unto his place, which he had prepered for it.    4 And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:    5 Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty:    6 Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty:    7 Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief, and his brethren an hundren and thirty:   8 Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred:    9 Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore:    10 Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundren and twelve:    11 And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,    12 And said to them, You are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both you and your brethren, that you may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.    13 For because you did it not at the first, the Lord our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought Him not after the due order.    14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel.    15 And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded, according to the word of the Lord.

1Ch.15.16 And David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the vioce with joy.    17 So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel, and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah, and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;    18 And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shamiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithaih, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the porters.    19 So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass;    20 And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psaltries on Alamoth (soprano).    21 And Mattathiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith (eight strings, or eighth or octave) to excell.

1Ch.15.22 And Chenaniah, chief of the levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skillful.    23 And Berechiah and Elkanah were door keepers of the ark.    24 And Shebaniah, and Jehosaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai and Zechariah, an Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-edom, and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

1Ch15.25 So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the house of Obed-edom with joy.    26 And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.    27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.    28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psaltries and harps.

Hallelujah! God is Good! His mercy endures forever! Praise ye the Lord!

1Ch.16.1 So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered  burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.

1Ch.16.4 And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, and to record, and to thank and praise the Lord God of Israel:    5 Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom: and Jeil with psaltries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;    6 Benaiah also with Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.

1Ch.16.7 Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the Lord (see Ps.105.1-15) into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.

1Ch.16.8 Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the people.    9 Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto Him, talk ye of all His wonderous works.    10 Glory ye in His holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.     11 Seek the Lord and His strength, seek His face continually.    12 Remember His marvelous works that He has done, His wonders, and the judgements of His mouth;    13 O ye seed of Israel His servant, ye children of Jacob, His chosen ones.    14 He is the Lord our God; His judgements are in all the earth.    15 Be ye mindful always of His covenant; the word which He commanded to a thousand generations;    16 Even the covenant which He made with Abraham, and of His oath unto Isaac;    17 And has confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,    18 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.    19 When ye were but a few, even a few and strangers in it.   20 And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;    21 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yes, He reproved kings for their sakes,    22 Saying, touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm.    23 Sing unto the Lord, all the earth; show forth from day to day His salvation.    24 Declare His glory among the heathen; His marvelous works among the nations.    25 For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: He also is feared above all gods.    26 For all gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.    27 Glory and honour are in His presence; strength and glagness are in His place.    28 Give unto the Lord, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.     29 Give unto the Lord glory due unto His name: bring an offering, and come before Him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.    30 Fear before Him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.    31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigns.    32 Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.    33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the Lord, because He comes to judge the earth.    34 O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.    35 And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.    36 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel forever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the Lord.

Amen! Hallelujah! to God be the glory! God is good! His mercy endured forever! Praise His wonderful name! Thank You Father! Thank You Jesus name above all names! The Lord reigns! There is no other god than our God. We know not any!

In the house of the Lord which Solomon built.

2Ch.5.1 Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the Lord was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures  of the house of God.    2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem,to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord, out of the city of David, which is Zion.

2Ch.5.12 Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthan (Ethan), with their sons and thier brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psaltries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)    13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying For He is good; for His mercy endures forever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord;    14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

Hallelujah! God is good! His mercy endures forever. Thank You Father. Hallelujah!

How powerful is the music ministry when it is as one praising and thanking the Lord?

Consider 1Samuel 16.14 But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him.    15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from the Lord troubles you.    16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on the harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from the God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shall be well.

It was known and accepted in those days that Godly music would drive away evil.

1Samuel 16.23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

Let it be known and accepted in this day and age that Godly Music played and sang by Godly singers will drive away evil. Hallelujah!

This Godly knowledge had not been forgotten in the days of king Johashaphat.

Consider 2Ch.20.10 And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom You would not let Israel invade, when they came from the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;    11 Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of Thy possession, which Thou has given us to inherit.    12 O our God, will You not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that comes against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon You13 And all Judah stood before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives and their children.

2Ch.20.14 Then upon Jehaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the congregation;     15 And he said, Harken ye, all Judah and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, thus says the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

2Ch.20.16 Tomorrow go ye down against them: behold they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find the at them end of the brook, before the wilderness of Juruel. 17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed, tomorrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.

2Ch.20.20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in (have faith in, trust in, rely on) the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe His prophets, so shall ye prosper.    21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that they should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for His mercy endures forever.    22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smittem.

Hallelujah! God is good! His mercy endures forever. Praise the beauty of holiness.

The music ministry is one of our most powerful weapons against evil.

Let us lift up the name of Jesus, and the praise of God, and thanksgiving to God above our nations, that the enemy may be smitten of the Lord our God, Who never leaves us nor forsakes us, and Who fights for us, to give us His victory.
