How are some Bibles different?

Why do some Bibles differ from others?

Simply; printed bibles are translated from two main sources of ancient texts; with some input from others .

There is much controversy, these days, regarding the accuracy and authority of ancient texts. What we do have available to us today are the Bibles translated from these various ancient texts. We are enabled now to consider the differences and deficiencies in these translations, and make up our own mind as to what we believe to be the most accurate; or better still, to pray unto the Lord Jesus Christ for His guidance, as we read the many differences in the scriptures.

It should be understood that of modern translations of the Bible the great majority have been published in the 20th century. For almost all of the church age, the majority texts have been used by the churches; it is only in the past hundred years or so that the churches have turned to Bibles translated from the minority texts.

Consider the words of King David in Psalm 12.6,7. The words of the Lord are pure words: tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.    7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever.

Did the Lord keep and preserve His pure words for the Church in each generation from the age of the Apostles unto the present; or did He hide them in earthenware jars in caves, and the Vatican library, and Catherin's monestary for almost two millinium, and then have them published, along with modern translations of the Greek New Testament, in thousands of differing versions of the Bible, in these end times and in this time of falling away? God knows! Do you?

The two main sources from which Bibles are translated are; (1) The Hebrew Bible, or Tanakh from the Masoretic Text,  Byzantine Text-types and Textus Receptus (from the Majority texts); (2) Alexandrian Text and Codices Vaticanus and Sinaiticus (from the Minority texts), and Wescott and Hort's Greek New Testament, and Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament.

Byzantine Text-types were used down through the church ages by the Christian church in Antioch and Syria and Eastern Orthodoxy, and throughout the world; and together with Textus Receptus, underlies the Protestant translations of the Reformation.

Textus Receptus is a generic term given to the texts used or received my most believers, and is a title given to such translations as the Greek translation by Desiderius Erasmus published first 1516. Erasmus was widely recognised as the foremost scholar of his age, and had studied many available texts in the libraries of Europe, and thousands of ancient Greek manuscripts (Byzantine Texts) brought to Europe and England by scholars, after the fall of Constantinople in 1453 . Erasmus compared the Greek texts, and found many that were in agreement; from these, and a comparison with the Italia (Latin) Bible, he wrote his Greek/Latin New Testament texts betwen 1516 and 1535.

Editio Regis is the name given to the 3rd. edition (1550), of the Greek Text of Stephens, by Robert Estienne, known as Stephanus, which was copied from Greek manuscripts in the library of King Francis I of France, and is almost identical to the 1516 text of Desiderius Erasmus.

John Wycliffe translated into English his hand written Bible from preserved English scriptures and latin versions older than the Vulgate, and distributed them to the Lollards to teach from; the Lollards were infamously martyred. (The body of John Wycliffe was dug up forty years after his burial, burnt to ash, and thrown into a river.) From Erasmus' translation Martyn Luther published the German New Testament 1522, and William Tyndale published Tyndale's New Testament in 1526.   In 1536 as William Tyndale was being martyred, he prayed, "Lord, open the king of England's eyes." John Rogers finished Tyndale's Old Testament, and later, King Henry VIII published Tyndale's Bible under the pseudonym of The Thomas Matthew Bible, in answer to the martyred Tyndale's prayer.  Miles Coverdale edited that edition and published it as the Great Bible, of which almost the entire first edition of 2500 copies were burned by the Inquisitor General; but the printing plates were taken to England and printed there in 1539.  The Great Bible was placed in every parish church throughout England. The King James version of1611 authorised by James I, was translated from the Masoretic Text, or Traditional Hebrew Text, and the 1516 text of Desideras Erasmus, and the 1550 text of Stephanus, with reference to the Gothic Bible, the Anglo-Saxon Bible, the Wycliffe Bible, Tyndale's Bible, the Geneva or Great Bible and the Bishop's Bible. The translaters of the KJV Bible also had access to the Nuremberg Polyglot of 1599, which containes the Gospels in Greek, Hebrew, Syriac, Latin, French, Italian, Spanish, English, German, Danish, Bohemian, and Polish; and is in perfect agreement with the Textus Receptus.

The Received Text is comparable to, and copied from the Majority Texts because it relied on the study of well over 90% of manuscripts known to exist.

The verse divisions were made by Robert Estienne; and are now used  in all translations; even if there is no scripture for a particular verse, in many translations.

Throughout the ages, from the Apostolic to the 19th century, the churches have overwhelming used translations from the Majority Texts. Over the past 150 years, most Bibles now in use, are translations based on Biblia Hebraica, the Greek Septurgent, the Latin Vulgate and the Minority Texts; Alexandrian Text and Cordices Vaticanus and Sinaiticus, and Wescott and Hort's Greek language New Testament published in1881, and the Greek New Testament of Nestle and Alland (first published by Nestle in 1898; later edited by Aland and published as the 26th edition in 1963.

The Latin Vulgate revised by Jerome in the late 4th century from old Latin texts, became the official Roman Catholic Bible after the Council of Trent (1545-63).

Modern versions of the Bible were translated mainly from Biblia Hebraica, the Alexandrian Text, the codices Vaticanus and Synaiticus, Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament, and the Wescott and Hort Greek New Testament of 1881. All of these Bibles have been translated and published over the past one hundred and fifty years or so; with the majority published in the twentieth century.

All modern Bibles are copyrighted. But the KJV is in Public Domain; although most publishers these days have a copyright on their publications of the KJV. These copyrights are legal only upon the preamble pages, and the additional end pages of maps and information etc., but not on the Scriptures of the KJV.

To be legally eligible for copyright, texts must be substantially altered.

Alexandrian Text came out of Egypt, and was influenced by Gnosticism.           Acts 6.7 And the word of God increased; and the  number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.    8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.    9 Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexanderians, and of them of Celicia, and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.       10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke.

Acts 18.24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.    25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spoke and taught diligently in the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.    26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

Cordices Vaticanus and Sinaiticus are 4th century manuscripts, which are influenced by the Alexandrian text, and are among those called the Minority Texts. The Minority texts are less than 1% of extant manuscripts.

Sinaiticus was discovered by Count Constantine von Tischendorf, in the monastry of St.Catherine at "mount Sinai", in 1859; and on subsequent visits.

Vaticanus, emerging from the library of the Vatican, was published in 1890.

(These two manuscripts differ over 3000 times in the New Testament, because of the many editings of Sinaiticus; some 43 leaves of which had been consigned to the waste paper bin where they were found by Tischendorf; who on a subsequent visit, discovered a further 347 leaves.) Wescott and Hort used these manuscripts, and the Alexandrian Text, to translate their 'Greek New Tastament.'  These Texts differ very significantly from the Vulgate and Byzantine texts and Textus Recptus.

Vaticanus cordex includes the books of Judith, Tobias and Baruch; and omits 1 &2 Timothy, Titus, Hebrews 9:15--13:25, and Revelation.

Sinaticus cordex includes the books of Esdras, Judith, Tobit, I & III Maccabees, Wisdom, Barnabus and The Shepherd of Hermes.

The versions of the Bible compared herein, are the King James Version (Blayney's standardised text (1769), which removed misprints from the original 1611 edition, modernised spelling of olde English words, and included the italicization of English words not found in the Greek). The New International Version (NT.1973; OT 1978); the New English Bible [where available] (NT.1961; Complete.1970); the Good News Bible, (1966), and the New World Translation (1984 Revision), the New American Bible (1970), and the New King James Version, (1982), which is a modern language version of the KJV but leans heavily toward the Vaticanus/ Sinaticus translations.

(The vast majority of bibles are translated from the Minority Texts. Around 3000 versions have been published since the late 19th century, with most published in the late 20th century).

KJV is based upon the Masoretic, or Traditional Hebrew Text, and numerous Bizantine Greek manuscripts, the Textus Receptus of Erasmus, Stephanus 1550, Beza and Elzevirs, and a 6th centuary bilingual Greek-Latin text, and the old Latin Bible; and as before stated, with reference to pre-existing Bibles published in England, and the 12 language Nuremberg Polyglot.

NIV, NEB and GNB/GNT, upon Biblia Hebraica(Cordices Leningradensis), and from Wescott and Hort's Greek new testament, and Nestle-Aland translations of the Greek, and cordices Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.

The United Bible Society's Nestle-Aland Greek Text, influenced by Wescott and Hort's Greek New Testament, underlies the New Testament in most modern translations.

NWT, upon (OT) later editions of Biblia Hebraica; and (NT) upon Wescott and Hort's 'critical texts' from Vaticanus and Sinaiticus; and other texts, including Cordex Alexandrinus. Before the New World Translation was published, the Watchtower Society published the KJV for their people, and included a list of words and verses to be crossed out.

NAB, translated from available Hebrew and Greek texts using the most recent textural scholarship.

NKJV is an updated version of the KJV, with modern language; but leans more toward Vaticanus and Sinaticus translations, as will be seen from the majority of examples. For copyright purposes, the NKJV had to be substancially altered from the KJV.

Concerning the very many new, revised, updated, copyrighted modern versions of the Bible; consider what the Lord Jesus said in John 2.16b make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

Concerning the assumed deficiencies leveled against the KJV is the usage of the olde english language. The language of the KJV is not the language of Shakespeare, but peculiar to the KJV. The particular differance between the plural 'Ye' and the singular 'Thee and Thine and Thou', have been lost to the modern English language. Ye is always plural; You is ambiguously plural or singular and looses the precise exact meaning, which is truth.. Thee, and Thine are singular; Thou is more than one, as singular. The suffexes of the KJV align with suffexes of Hebrew and Greek, as well as many of the world's languages and express first, second and third person; I love (first person), you lovest (second person), they loveth (third person).

Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.    7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever.

Many, who have read only from Bizantine texts and Textus Receptus versions, or from modern versions, may not have considered these differences in the scriptures.

Many may consider them a small matter and unimportant.

But it must be understood that the Word of God is truth; and truth is wholly and forever true: it is the same yesterday, today and forever; it is without varibleness or shadow of turning; it is forever settled in heaven; The Word of God is alive, and full of power, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to showing the difference between soul and spirit, and of the joints of the bones and the marrow within the bones, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

Indeed, the Word of God went out into all the world, translated into all languages, from that first Pentecost after the Lord's assention; as the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.    5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.    6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

Colossians 1:5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;    6a Which is come to you, as it is in all the world

Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,    26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of the faith.

The Word of God is Truth.

Jesus is the truth. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth. No lie is of the truth. Truth is always  and forever 100% true. Hallelujah!!! If something is not 100% true, it is not truth.(see study on 'What is Truth' on this site).

The people of God will receive the truth; for the Lord Jesus has said so.

John 8: 31 If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;    32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 10.27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Ps.119.89 Forever, O Lord, Thy Word is settled in heaven.

As we come to know the truth we are made free by it.

We must receive the love of the truth to be saved.

2Thes.2.10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

2Thes.2.13 But we are bound to give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Many, who have not received the love of the truth, are prepared to accept "near truth"; or traditionally accepted "truth"; or lies.

Some of the early examples may seem innocuous and unimportant; but read on! you will be amazed.

Prayerfully consider these differences in the scriptures.

The children of God will recognize the truth;

Jn.10.27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Patience is needed to read carefully through all these scriptures to appreciate the import of the subtlety of the semantics of the many differences. Please read through all the examples; (it may take more than one sitting, but please return to this study until you have considered the many examples); the changes, the omissions, the errors, the untruths, will become clear.

Perseverance will be rewarded.

Genesis 1:1-2; 1:6-8a; as an example of the  differences between the translations.

KJV Gen.1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.    2 And the earth was without  form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the  waters.

KJV Gen 1:6 And God said, let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.    7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the  firmament from the waters which were above the firmament.    8a And God called the firmament Heaven.

KJV Eph. 4.10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might ill all things.

NIV Gen.1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.    2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

NIV Gen.1:6 And God said, "Let there be a vault between the waters to seperate water from water."  So God made the vault and seperated the water under the  vault from the water above it. And it was so.    8a God called the vault "sky."

NIV Eph. 4.10 He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.

GNB Gen.1:1 In the beginning when God created the universe,    2 the earth was formless and desolate, the raging ocean that covered everything was engulfed in total darkness, and the Spirit of God was moving over the water.

GNB Gen.1:6 Then God commanded, "Let there be a dome to divide the water and to keep it in two seperate places" - and it was done.    7 So God made a dome, and it seperated the water under it from the water from the water above it.    8a He named the dome "Sky."

NWT Gen.1:1 In [the] beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.    2 Now the earth proved to be formless and waste and there was darkness upon the surface of [the] watery deep; and God's active force was moving to and fro over the surface of the waters.

NWT Gen.1:6 And God went on to say: "Let an expanse come to in between the waters and let a dividing occur between the waters and the waters"    7 Then God proceeded to make the expanse and to make a division between the waters that should be beneath the expanse and the waters that should be above the expanse." And it came to be so.    8a And God began to call the expanse Heaven.

NWT Eph.4.10 The very one that descended is also the one that ascended far above all the heavens, that he might give fullness to all things.

NAB Gen.1:1 In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth,    2 The earth was a formless wasteland, and darkness covered the abyss, while a mighty wind swept over the waters.

NAB Gen.1:6 Then God said, "Let there be a dome in the middle of the waters, to seperate one body of water from the other." And so it happened.    7 God made the dome, and it seperated the water above the dome from the water below it.    8a And God called the dome, "the sky".

NAB Eph.4.10 He who descended is also the one who ascended far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.

NKJV Gen.1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.    2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

NKJV Gen.1:6 Then God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters". Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.    8a And God called the firmament Heaven.

NKJV Eph.4.10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)

The area in which God set the Sun, Moon and Galaxies, on the forth day (Gen.1:14-19), is the firmament, a vault, a dome, an expanse; the Heaven, or as some have it, the Sky.

Ephesians 4.10  is refering to all the heavens, and not just Heaven, in which God, on the forth day, created the universe; the sun, moon and stars;   Above the Heaven, or the firmament, or the vault, the dome, the expanse or the "Sky", are the waters above the firmament, and the original darkness. The Holy Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ ascended far above all heavens, that He might fill all things; not just the created, finite universe; but every thing from the lower parts of the earth (Ephesians 4.9) to far above all heavens.

KJV Gen.22.8a And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering:

NIV Gen.22.8a Abraham replied, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering my son".

GNB Gen.22.8a Abraham answered, "God himself will provide one."

NWT Gen.22.8a To this Abraham said, "God will provide himself the sheep for the burnt offering, my son."

NAB Gen 22.8a "Son," Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the sheep for the holocaust." Then the two continued going foward.

NKJV Gen.22.8a And Abraham said, "My son, God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering."

In the KJV, Abraham, the friend of God, prophesied of God providing Himself as a Lamb.

The other translations have missed this wonderful truth. Even the NKJV.

KJV Gen.24.47b and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands.

NIV Gen.24.47b "Then I put the ring in her nose, and the bracelets on her arms,

GNB Gen.24.47b then I put the ring in her nose, and the bracelets on her arms.

NWT Gen.24.47b Accordingly I put the nose ring on her nostril and the bracelets on her hands.

NAB Gen 24.47b so I put the ring on her nose and the bracelets on her wrists.

NKJV Gen.24.47b so I put the nose ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her wrists.

KJV Gen.27:39 And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;

NIV Gen.27:39 His father Isaac answered him, "Your dwelling will be away from the earth's richness, away from the dew of heaven above.

GNT Gen.27:39 Then Isaac said to him, No dew from heaven for you, no fertile fields for you.

NWT Gen.27:39 So in answer his father Isaac said to him: "Behold, away from the fetile soils of the earth your dwelling will be found, and away from the dew of the heavens above.

NAB Gen.27:39 Finally Isaac spoke again and said to him, "Ah, far from the fertile earth shall be your dwelling, far from the dew of the heavens above!

NKJV Gen,27:39 Then Isaac his father answered and said to him: "Behold, your dwelling shall be of the fatness of the earth, And of the dew of heaven from above.

KJV Exodus 3.14 And God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me unto you.

KJV Psalm 46.10a Be still and know that I am God:

NIV Ex. 3.14 God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM sent

NIV Psalm 46.10a He says, "Be still, and know that I am God;

GNB Ex 3.14 God said, "I am who I am. 'You must tell them: the one who is called I AM has sent me to you.

NWT Ex 3.14 At this God said to Moses: "I SHALL PROVE TO BE WHAT I SHALL PROVE TO BE." And he added: this is what you are to say to the sons of Israel, 'I SHALL PROVE TO BE has sent me to you'".

NWT Psalm 46.10a "Give in, YOU people, and know that I am God.

NAB Ex 3.14 God replied," I am who I am," Then he added, "This i s what you shall tell the Israelites, I AM has sent me to you."

NKJV Ex 3.14 And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And he said, " thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.' "

NKJV Psalm 46.10a Be still, and know that I am God;

KJV 1Sam 3.18 And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the Lord: let him do what seemeth him good.

NIV 1Sam 3.18 So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said, He is the Lord; let him do what is good in his eyes.

GNB 1Sam 3.18 Samuel told him everything; he did not keep anything back. Eli said, "He is the Lord; he will do whatever seems best to him.

NWT 1Sam 3.18 So Samuel told him all the words, and he did not hide anything from him. At that he said, "It is Jehovah. What is good in his eyes let him do".

NAB 1Sam 3.18 So Samuel told him everything, and held nothing back. Eli answered, "He is the Lord. He will do what he judges best."

(The Good News bible paraphrasers, and the New American Bible translators, in misunderstanding this scripture, have missed the truth of man's freewill; and God's unique goodness.)

NKJV 1Sam.3.18 Then Samuel told him everything, and hid nothing from him, And he said, "It is the Lord, let him do what seems good to him."

KJV Ps.10:5a (the wicked) His ways are always grievous;

NIV Ps.10:5a (the wicked) His ways are always prosperous;

GNT Ps.10:5a The wicked succeed in everything.

NWT Ps.10:5a (the wicked) His ways keep prospering all the time.

NAB Ps.10:5a (the wicked) Yet their affairs always succeed

NKJV Ps.10:5a (the wicked) His ways are always prospering.

KJV Eccl.8:10 And so I saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of the holy, and they were forgotten in the city where they had so done: this is also vanity.

NIV Eccl.8:10 Then too, I saw the wicked buried- those who used to come and go from the holy place and receive praise in the city where they did this. This too is meaningless.

GNT Eccl.8:10 Yes, I have seen the wicked buried and in their graves, but on the way back from the cemetary people praise them in the very city where they did their evil. It is useless.

NWT Eccl.8:10 But, though this is so, I have seen the wicked ones being buried, how they came in and how they would go away from the holy place itself and be forgotten in the city where they acted that way. This too is vanity.

NAB Eccl.8:10 Meanwhile I say wicked men approach and enter, and as they left the sacred place, they were praised in the city for what they had done. This also is vanity.

NKJV Eccl8:10 Then I saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of holiness, and they were forgotten in the city where they had so done. This also is vanity.

KJV Is.14.12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations!

GNB Is.14.12 King of Babylon, bright morning star, you have fallen from heaven! In the past you conquered nations, but now you have been thrown to the ground.

NWT Is.14.12 O how you have fallen from heaven, you shining one, son of the dawn! How you have been cut down to the earth, you who were disabling the nations.

NAB Is 14.12 How have you fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! how are you cut down to the ground, you who mowed down the nations.

NKJV Is.14.12 "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning. How you are cut down to the ground, You who weaken the nations!

The one and only reference in scripture to Lucifer is omitted from these verses, and is replaced as the morning star.

It is clearely seen from many scriptures, even in these same translations, that, not Lucifer, but Jesus is the morning star.

KJV Rev 22.16 I Jesus have sent my angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

NIV Rev 22.16 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches, I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright and Morningstar".

GNB Rev 22.16 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony in the churches. I am descended from the family of David; I am the bright morning star".

NKJV Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son,  and shall call His name Immanuel.

KJV Isaiah 8:9 Associate yourselves, o ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and  give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.    10 Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

NIV Isaiah 8:9 Raise the war cry you nations, and be shattered! Listen all you distant lands, Prepare for battle, and be shattered! Prepare for battle, and be shattered!    10 Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted; propose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us.

NAB Isaiah 8:9 Know, O peoples, and be appalled! Give ear, all you distant lands! Arm, but be crushed! Arm, but be crushed!    10 Form a plan, and it shall be thwarted; make a resolve, and it shall not be carried out, for "With us is God!"

NKJV Isaiah 8:9 "Be shattered, O you peoples, and be broken in pieces! Give ear, all you from far countries. Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces; Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces.    10 Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us."

KJV Isaiah 26:2 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.    3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is  stayed  on thee: because he trusteth in thee.    4 Trust thee in the Lord forever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is ever lasting strength:

NWT Isaiah 26:2 Open the gates, YOU men, that the righteous nation that is keeping faithful conduct may enter.    3 The inclination that is well supported you will safegard in continuous peace, because it is in you that one is made to trust.     4 Trust in Jehovah, YOU people, for all times, for in Jah Jehovah is the Rock of times indefinite

NAB Isaiah 26:2 Open up the gates to let in a nation that is just, one that keeps faith.    3 A nation of firm purpose you keep in peace; in peace, for its trust in you.    4  Trust in the LORD forever! For the LORD is an eternal Rock

NKJV Isaiah 26:2 Open the gates That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.    3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on  You, Because he trusts in You.    4 Trust in the Lord forever, For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.

KJV Isaiah 30:7 For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.    8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever.

NIV Isaiah 30:7 to Egypt, whose help is utterly useless. Therefore I call her Rahab the Do-Nothing.    8 Go now, write it on a tablet for them, inscribe it on a scroll, that for the days to come it may be an everlasting witness.

GNT Isaiah 30:7 The help that Egypt gives is useless. So I have nicknamed Egypt 'The Harmless Dragon.'"    8 God told me to write down in a book what the people are like, so that there would be a permanent record of how evil they are.

NWT Isaiah 30:7 And the Egyptians are mere vanity, and they will help simply for nothing. Therefore I have called this one: Ra'hab---they are for sitting still."    8 Now come, write it upon a table with them, and inscribe it even in a book, that it may serve fod a future day, for a witness to time indefinite.

NAB Isaiah 30:7 to Egypt whose help is futile and vain. Therefore I call her "Rahab quelled."    8 Now come, write it on a tablet they can keep, inscribe it in a record; that it may be in future days an eternal witness.

NKJV Isaiah 30:7 For the Egyptians shall help in vain and to no purpose. Therefore I have called her Rahab-Hem-Shebeth.    8 Now go, write it before them on a tablet, And note it on a scroll, That it may be for the time to come, For ever and ever:

In the majority text, from the ages, God has cried concerning this, "Their strength  is to sit still." Their strength is not in Egypt, nor the world, but in Him, as they wait in His presence, with still hearts and minds upon Him; trusting in Him. This is the message that the Lord told Isaiah to write in stone, and in a book, the Bible, for the time to come, and forever and ever. Eternal, Godly wisdom for His people; "Be still, and know that I am God."

KJV Dan.2.37 Thou O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, and power, and strength, and glory.

GNB Dan.2.37 Your majesty, you are the greatest of all kings, the God of heaven has made you emperor and given you power, might and honour.

NWT Dan.2.37 You, O king, the king of kings, you to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, the might, and the strength and the dignity.

(The NWT would have the Lord Jesus as a God; and Nebuchadnezzar as the king of kings.)

NAB Dan 2.37 You, O king, are the king of kings; to you the God of heaven has given dominion and strength, power and glory.

It should be obvious to all true believers just who is the king of kings.

NAB Dan 3.25 in the fire Azariah stood up and prayed aloud

NAB Dan 3.92 "But", he replied, "I see four men unfettered and unhurt, walking in the fire, and a forth looks like a son of God."

(The NAB differs from all other translations in that V.24 becomes V.91, between which a further 66 verses are added. Then other translations are followed to V.97; after which 3 further verses are added up to V.100. There are also 2 extra chapters in Daniel in this version.)

NKJV Dan 3.25 "Look!" he answered, "I see four men loose walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the forth is like the Son of God."

It is generally accepted that the forth man in the fire was the Son of God.

NIV Mat.1.18 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: his mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.

NEB Mat.1.18 This is the story of the birth of the Messiah. Mary his mother was betrothed to Joseph; before their marriage she found that she was with child by the Holy Ghost.

NAB Mt 1.18 Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the holy Spirit.

The Vaticanus/Sinaiticus translations are, in these scriptures, ambiguous; and could be misconstrued as saying, she was found, through or by the Holy Spirit, to be with child. Whereas the Textus Receptus says plainly that, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

NKJV Mt. 1.18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

As NIV, NWT, and NAB have, in Isaiah 61.1: 'to heal or bind up the broken hearted', how, and why have they omitted this phrase from Luke 4.18 ? Did the Lord Himself misquote the Word? of course not.

NAB Mk.13.6 Many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and they will deceive many.

NAB Lu.21.8 He answered, "See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name saying, 'I am he,' and, 'the time has come,' Do not follow them!

NKJV Mt.24.5 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.

NKJV Mk.13.6 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and will deceive many.

NKJV Lu.21.8 And He said: "Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and, 'The time has drawn near.' Therefore do not go after them.

If it is understood that the many deceivers are not saying that they are Christ; but that Jesus is Christ; then it can be understood just how very many are being deceived: and how much the falling away is upon us.
It is tragic to realize how very many deceived are still following those who taught, and teach them that the time is at hand:

By omitting the word holy, the above group of scriptures are not the truth.
The Lord Jesus will not come with all the angels. He will come with the holy angels. None of the fallen angles will be with Him.
Prophesy came not by men, but by holy men of God.
God will not avenge the apostles and the prophets: He will avenge the holy apostles and prophets. None of the false apostles or prophets will be avenged.

NKJV has 'only begotten Son' in both of these verses.

The truth that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, is part of the legal basis of the new testament. It is because He is begotten of a woman; that He is a man; and He is spotless; that He is a legal sacrifice for the sins of mankind.

The truth that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, establishes that 'Jesus Christ is come in the flesh'; which is what antichrist can not confess; for it is written; "Forasmuch then as the childern are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil;   And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  (Hebrews 2:14,15).

Jesus is certainly the only God the Son; but is not God's only Son.
This is established by at least three witnesses:
KJV Gen.6.2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair: and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Gen.6.4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children unto them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
Job 1.6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.
Job 2.1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord.
Job 38.7 When the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy.                                                                                                               Luke 3.38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

KJV Mt.20.16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
NIV Mt.20.16 "So the last will be first, and the first will be last."
NWT Mt.20.16 In this way the last ones will be first, and the first ones last."
NAB Mt.20.16 Thus, the first will be last, and the last will be first."
NKJV Mt.20.16 So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called but few chosen."

Compared to few; many are the vast majority. The vast majority of the called will not be chosen; because they have been led into deception, by many.

Mt.24.3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

KJV Jn.4.42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour ofthe world.

NIV Jn.4.42 They said to the woman, "We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Saviour of the world."

GNB Jn.4,42 and they told the woman, "We believe now, not because of what you said, but because we ourselves have heard him, and we know that he really is the Saviour of the world."

NWT Jn.4.42 and they began to say to the woman: "We do not believe any longer on account of your talk; for we have heard for ourselves and we know that this man is for a certainty the saviour of the world."

NAB Jn 4.42 And they said to the woman, "We no longer believe because of your word; for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is truely the saviour of the world."

These are but one example where the title Christ has been removed many times from modern bibles.

NKJV Jn.4.42 Then they said to the woman, "Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we knowthat this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

KJV Jn.6.47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me has everlasting life.

NIV Jn.6.47 I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life.

NEB Jn.6.47 In truth, in very truth I tell you, the believer possesses eternal life.

GNB Jn.6.47 I am telling you the truth: he who believes has eternal life.

NWT Jn.6.47 Most truely I say unto you, He that believes has everlasting life.

NAB Jn 6.47 Amen, amen, I say to you, Whoever believes has eternal life.

These five translations are not the truth.

NKJV Jn.6.47 Most assuredly, I say unto you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

KJV Jn. 8.32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free.

NEB Jn.8.32 you shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

GNB Jn.8.32 you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

NWT Jn.8.32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

NAB Jn 8.32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

NKJV Jn.8.32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

The truth will make you free; speaks of our being made free as we come to know more and more of the truth.
The children of Israel were set free from Egypt, and from the house of bondage.
We are set free from the penalty for sin by the blood of Jesus:
But we are made free by the truth; as we come to know it. It is a gradual process.
Always remember that the truth is forever and completely true; 'near truth' is not truth, and never will be truth.

KJV Jn.9.35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

NIV Jn.9.35 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him he said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?"

GNB Jn.9.35 When Jesus heard what had happened, he found the man and asked him, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?"

NWT Jn.9.35 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and, on finding him, he said:"Are you putting faith in the Son of man?"

KJV Jn.11.25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: He that believeth in me, though he were dead yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

NIV Jn 11.25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. he who believes in me will live even though he dies; 26 and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?

NEB Jn.11.25 Jesus said, "Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. If a man has faith in me, even though he die, he will come to life: 26 and no one who is alive and has faith shall ever die.

GNB Jn.11.25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live, even though he dies: 26 and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?

NWT Jn.11.25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me even though he dies, will come to life. 26 and every one that is living and exerceses faith in me will never die at all. Do you believe this?

NAB Jn 11.25 Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life, whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live. 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me, will never die. Do you believe this?

NKJV Jn.11.25 Jesus said to her, " I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

Jesus had said to Martha, "Thy brother shall rise again".
Martha replied, "I know that he shall rise again at the last day".
Jesus was teaching Martha that He is the resurrection; and He was there with her: as He is here with us: and that her brother shall rise again in this life.     All who are baptized into Jesus Christ (see study on 'the doctrine of Baptisms' in First Principles' on this website), are baptized into His death, and His burial; and are raised unto His new resurrected life, in this life, and have the life of Christ in us, the hope of glory.
He said, in Jn.11.25b he that believeth in me, though he were dead (in his sins) yet shall he live (be born again, in this lifetime):
Jesus was not talking about coming to life again in the resurrection of the dead; but coming to life again in this lifetime.
In Jn.11.26 He said, "and whosoever lives (is born again) and believes (has living faith) in Me shall never die".
Those dead in sin, who receive Him, and who have living faith in Him, shall be born again in this life, and those who are truely born again shall never die.
At physical death, the soul of the born again, righteous believer sleeps in Jesus, until the resurrection of the dead at the last day; the soul of the holy overcomer and the martyr goes alive to the altar in heaven.
Martha, and the writers of Vaticanus and Sinaiticus manuscripts and the NAB translators, misunderstood what Jesus was saying, and look toward the resurrection at the last day; not perceiving that, if we are baptized, we are resurrected spiritually in this life, and shall never die.
The creators of the NKJV also have misunderstood; changing 'were dead' to 'may die'.
Gal.2.20 I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life that I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Do you believe this?

KJV Jn.16.16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

NIV Jn.16.16 Jesus went on to say, "In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me."

NWT Jn.16.16 In a little while YOU will behold me no longer, and, again, in a little while YOU will see me.

NAB Jn.16.16 "A little while and you will no longer see me, and again a little while later you will see me."

NKJV Jn.16.16 "A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me, because I go to the Father.

KJV Acts 12.4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

NIV Acts 12.4 After arresting him, he put him in prison, handing him over to be garded by four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring him out for public trial after the Passover.

GNB Acts 12.4 After his arrest Peter was put in jail, where he was handed over to four groups of four soldiers each. Herod planned to put him on trial in public after Passover.

NWT Acts 12.4 And laying hold of him, he put him in prison, turning him over to four shifts of four soldiers each to guard him, as he intended to produce him for the people after the passover.

NAB Acts 12.4 He had him taken into custody and put in prison under the guard of four squads of four soldiers each. He intended to bring him before the people after Passover.

NKJV Acts 12.4 So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover.

Luke, the writer of the book of Acts, as a redeemed Christian, would no longer have celebrated the Passover; but would celebrate Easter; the resurrection of the Lord.
(Easter is the English word taken from the German, Ostern, meaning resurrection; and has nothing whatsoever to do with Isthar the Babylonian goddess, or eggs, or bunnies etc.).

KJV Rom.1.16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

NIV Rom 1.16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

NEB Rom.1.16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel. It is the saving power of God for everyone who has faith‐the Jew first, but the Greek also.

GNB Rom 1.16 I have complete confidence in the gospel; it is God's power to save all who believe, first the Jews and also the Gentiles.

NWT Rom.1.16 For I am not ashamed of the good news, it is, in fact, God's power for salvation for everyone having faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek;

NAB Rom 1.16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel. It is the power of God for the
salvation of everyone who believes; for Jew first, and then Greek.

NKJV Rom 1.16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who belives, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

KJV Rom.8.1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

NIV Rom.8.1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

NEB Rom.8.1 The conclusion of the matter is this: there is no condemnation for those who are united with Christ Jesus,

GNB Rom.8.1 There is no condemnation now for those who live in union with Christ Jesus,

NWT Rom.8.1 Therefore those in union with Christ Jesus have no condemnation.

NAB Rom 8.1 Hence now there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

NKJV Rom.8.1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

That there is condemnation for many who are in Christ Jesus, who walk after the flesh, and not after the Spirit, is attested to by many scriptures.

Jn.15.1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Every branch in Christ Jesus who bring forth no fruit, He takes away.
The Lord Jesus is speaking of those who are baptized into Him.

Jn.15.6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
Every branch in Christ Jesus that does not stay in Him, and bring forth fruit, is cast forth and burned.
Rom.11.21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he spare not thee.

Paul to the Corinthians:1Cor.9.27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Rev.2.4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because you have left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence you are fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto you quickly, and remove your candlestick out of his place, except you repent.
The church at Ephesus will be removed, except it repent.
Rev.2.22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultry with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searches the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one according to your works.
This to the church in Thyatira.
Rev.3.5 He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Those in the churches who are not overcomers will have their names blotted out of the book of life.
Rev.3.16 So then because you are luke warm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you our of my mouth.
Mt.7.22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works?    23 And I will profess unto them, I neve knew you: depart from me , you that work iniquity.
It is clearly seen from these scriptures, that the scripture, 'Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.'; cannot stand alone as truth: except it be qualified by, 'who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.'

KJV Eph.5.9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth:)

NIV Eph.5.9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)

NWT Eph.5.9 for the fruitage of the light consists of every sort of goodness and righteousness and truth.

NAB Eph.5.9 for light produces every kind of goodness and righteousness and truth.

NKJV Eph.5.9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth).

KJV Rom.13.9a For this, Thou shalt not commit adultry, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet;

NIV Rom.13.9a The commandments, "You shall not commit adultry," " You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet,"

NWT Rom.13.9a For the [law code], "You must not commit adultry, You must not murder, you must not steal, You must not covet,"

NAB Rom.13.9a The commandments, "You shall not commit adultry; you shall not kill; you shall not steal; you shall not covet,"

NKJV Rom.13.9a For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultry," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," " You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet,"
How astounding that this commandment is omitted from these moden witnesses.

KJV 1Tim.3.16 And without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

NIV 1Tim.3.16 Beyond all question, the mystery of Godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen of angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

NEB 1Tim.3.16 And great beyond all question is the mystery of our religeon: He who was manifested in the body, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, who was proclaimed among the nations, was believed in throughout the world, glorified in high heaven.

GNB 1Tim.3.16 No one can deny how great is the secret of our religeon: He appeared in human form, was shown to be right by the Spirit, and was seen by angels, He was preached among the nations, was believed in throughout the world, and was taken up to heaven.

NWT 1Tim.3.16 Indeed, the sacred secret of this Godly devotion is admittedly great: He was made manifest in the flesh, was declared righteous in Spirit, appeared to angels, was preached about among the nations, was believed upon in [the] world, was received up in glory.

NAB 1Tim 3.16 Undeniably great is the mystry of devotion, Who was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed to the Gentiles, believed in throughout the world, taken up in glory.

NKJV 1Tim.3.16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory

God was manifest in the flesh.

This is one thing that antichrists can not say: according to 1Jn.4.1‐3; 2Jn.7.

KJV 1Jn.4.1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are  God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know you the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is the spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now is in the world.

KJV 2Jn.7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

NIV 1Jn.4.1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognise the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Chirst has come in the flesh is from God. 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

NIV 2Jn.7 Many deceivers, who do not acknoledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

NEB 2Jn.7 Many deceivers have gone out into the world, who do not acknoledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. These are the persons described as the Antichrist, the arch‐deceiver.

GNB 2Jn.7 Many deceivers have gone out all over the world, people who do not
acknoledge that Jesus Christ came as a human being. Such a person is a deceiver and the Enemy of Christ.

NWT 1Jn.4.1 Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world. 2 YOU gain the knowledge of the inspires expression from God by this: Every inspired expression that confesses that Jesus Christ as having come in the flesh originates with God. 3 but every inspired expression that does not confess Jesus does not originate with God. Furthermore, this is the anti‐christ's [inspired expression] which YOU have heard was coming, and now is already in the world.

NWT 2Jn.7 For many deceivers have gone forth into the world, persons not confessing Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.

NAB 1Jn.4.1 Beloved, do not trust every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they belong to God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can know the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in the flesh is of God. 3 and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus does not belong to God. This is the spirit of the anti‐christ that, as you heard is to come, but in fact is already in the world.

NAB 2Jn 7 Many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, such is the deceitful one, and the antichrist.

NKJV 1Jn.4.1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has  come in the flesh is of God. 3 And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

NKJV 2Jn.7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. this is a deceiver and an antichrist.

All of these modern translations have lost the truth of what the Scripture in the KJV is saying. "Jesus Christ is come in the flesh", is testifying of an eternal truth that the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh is the leagl and perpetual sacrifice for all sins, for all people, for all time, and is a truth in the eternal spiritual present; the now; today. Redeemption is available to all living; from the time of Jesus Christ's sacrifice in the flesh, and on throughout eternity. II Cor.6:2 (For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation.) Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is relevant for all people, throughout eternity. Hallelujah!

Spirits of antichrist can say,"He is come in the flesh:" "Jesus Christ as having come with the flesh:" "Jesus Christ has come in the flesh:" "Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh:" Jesus Christ came as a human being:"
But they can not confess, "Jesus Christ is come in the flesh".

That Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is the pivotal time in the history of mankind, and is present tense forever. Hallelujah! Thank You Lord Jesus.

The Word of God is exact forever. Hallelujah!!!

KJV Col.1.14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

NIV Col.1.14 In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

NEB Col.1.14 In whom our release is secured and our sins forgiven.

GNB Col.1.14 by whom we are set free, that is, our sins forgiven.

NWT Col.1.14 by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of sins.

KJV Phil.4.13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

NIV Phil.4.13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

NEB Phil.4.13 I have strength for everything through him who gives me power.

GNB Phil 4.13 I have strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me.

NWT Phil.4.13 For all things I have the strength by virtue of him who imparts power to me.

NAB Phil 4.13 I have the strength for everything through him who empowers me.

NKJV Phil.413 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

These new scriptures are a lie: we obviously do not have strength for everything. The truth is: when we do all things through Christ, it strengthens us. The NKJV has also missed this truth be changing 'which strengthens me' to 'who strengthens me'.

KJV Gal.4.7 Wherefore you are no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

NIV Gal.4.7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.

NEB Gal.4.7 You are therefore no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then also by God's own act an heir.

GNB Gal.4.7 So then, you are no longer a slave but a son. And since you are his son, God will give you all that he has for his sons.

NWT Gal.4.7 So, then, you are no longer a slave but a son; and if a son, also an heir through God.

NAB Gal 4.7 So you are no longer a slave but a child, and if a child then also an heir, through God.

The sons have gone, in these scriptures from being an heir of God through Christ; to being an heir, through God.

NKJV Gal 4.7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

KJV Gal.6.15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor
uncircumcision, but a new creature.

NIV Gal.6.15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.

NEB Gal.6.15 Circumcision is nothing; uncircumcision is nothing; the only thing that counts is new creation!

GNB Gal.6.15 It does not matter at all whether or not one is circumcised; what does matter is being a new creature.

NWT Gal.6.15 For neither is circumcision anything nor is uncircumcision, but a new creation. [is something].

NAB Gal 6.15 For neither does circumcision mean anything, nor does uncircumcision, but only a new creature.

NKJV Gal 6.15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything but a new creation.

KJV 1Tim.2.7 Wherefore I am ordained a preacher and an apostle,(I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not,) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

NIV 1Tim.2.7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle‐ I am telling the truth, I am not lying‐ and a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles.

NEB 1Tim.2.7 of this I was appointed herald and apostle (this is no lie, but the truth), to instruct the nations in true faith.

GNB 1Tim.2.7 and that is why I was sent as an apostle and teacher of the Gentiles, to proclaim the message of faith and truth. I am not lying; I am telling the truth.

NWT 1Tim.2.7 For the purpose of this witness I was appointed a preacher and an
apostle‐I am telling the truth, I am not lying‐‐‐a teacher of nations in the matter of faith and truth.

NAB 1 Tim 2.7 For this I was appointed preacher and apostle, (I am speaking the truth, I am not lying), teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

Yet another example of the many times that Christ is omitted from scriptures in these modern bibles.

NKJV 1 Tim 2.7 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle‐‐I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying‐‐a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

KJV 1Jn 3.16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

NIV 1JN 3.16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

GNB 1Jn 3.16 This is how we know what love is: Christ gave his life for us. We too, then, ought to give our lives for others!

NWT 1Jn.3.16 By this we have come to know love, because that one surrendered his soul for us; and we are under obligation to surrender [our] souls for [our] brothers."

NAB 1Jn 3.16 The way we came to know love was that he laid down his life for us; so we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

NKJV 1JN3.16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. and we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

NIV 2Jn.9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.

NEB 2Jn.9 Anyone who runs ahead too far, and does not stand by the doctrine of the Christ, is without God; he who stands by that doctrine poseses both the Father and the Son.

GNB 2Jn.9 Anyone who does not stay with the teaching of Christ, but goes beyond it, does not have God. Whoever does stay with the teaching has both the Father and the Son.

NWT 2Jn.9 Everyone that pushes ahead and does not remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God. He that does remain in this teaching is the one that has both the Father and the Son.

NAB 2Jn 9 Anyone who is so "progressive" as not to remain in the teaching of the Christ, does not have God, whoever remains in the teaching has the Father and the Son.

NKJV 2 Jn 9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ, does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

KJV Heb.3.1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

NEB Heb.3.1 Therefore, brothers in the family of God, who share a heavenly calling, think of the Apostle and High Priest of the religeon we profess.

GN Heb.3.1 My Christian brothers, who also have been called by God! Think on Jesus, whom God has sent to be High Priest of the faith we profess.

NWT Heb.3.1 Consequently, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high priest whom we confess‐Jesus.

NAB Heb 3.1 Therefore, holy "brothers," sharing in a heavenly calling, reflect on Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession,

Christ Jesus becomes Jesus, or is left out altogether.

NKJV Heb 3.1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High priest of our confession, Jesus Christ.

Some who have studied these translations much more than I, have written that the name Jesus is omited 87 times; Christ: 52 times; Lord:39 times; and God: 48 times. (Google: Les Garrett, KJV vs. NIV)

KJV Lu.23.42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom.

KJV Acts 8.36 And as they went on their way, they came to a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what does hinder me to be baptized? 37 And Phillip said, If you believe with all your heart you may. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Phillip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

NIV Acts 8.36 As they travelled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?".   37 V.37 is blank! There is no scripture in verse 37.     38 And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Phillip and the eunuch went down into the water and Phillip baptized him.

NEB Acts 8.36 As they were going along the road, they came to some water. 'Look', said the eunuch, 'here is water: what is there to prevent my being baptized?'. 37 There is no scripture in verse 37. 38 and he ordered the carriage to stop. Then they both went down into the water, Phillip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

What is to keep me from being baptized?". 37 There is no scripture in verse 37. 38 The official ordered the carriage to stop, and both Phillip and the official went down into the water, and Phillip baptized him.

NWT Acts 8.36 Now as they were going over the road, they came to a certain body of water, and the eunuch said: "Look! A body of water; what prevents me from getting baptized?"      37 There is no scripture in verse 37. 38 With that he commanded the chariot to halt, and they both went down into the water, both Phillip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

NAB Acts 8.36 As they travelled along the road they came to some water, and the eunich said, "Look, there is water. What is to prevent my being baptized?" 37 There is no scripture in verse 37. 38 Then he ordered the chariot to stop, and Phillip and the eunich both went down into the water, and he baptized him.

Acts 8.37 And Phillip said, If you believe with all your heart you may. and he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

The eunuch asked Phillip, in V36, "What does hinder me to be baptized?" The Vaticanus and Sinaiticus versions, and NAB, have omitted Phillip's answer, and the eunuch's confession, in V37.

That there is a verse 37 is certain, because all bible translations have a verse 37: even if it is blank.

What an amazing piece of scripture to omit from the Word of God.

Would you baptize anyone unless you had heard their confession concerning their belief in Jesus Christ?

NKJV Acts 8.36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunich said, "See here is water. What hinders me from being baptised?" 37 Then Phillip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." 38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Phillip and the eunich went down into the water and he baptised him.

Wicked ways can mean many and varied transgressions, but iniquity, in the new testament, is a specific sin of unjustness or illegality. Matthew used the Greek anomia; illegality, or transgression of the law; Luke and Paul used the word adikia; injustice, or not justified. The many called who are workers of iniquity will not be chosen because they are living in blind and dead faith, and so are not justified by living faith. (see study on 'Faith toward God', in 'First Principles' on this website).

Is Jesus Christ God's servant, or God's Son? to the children of God, the truth is obvious.

NIV Acts 4.26 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his anointed one. 27 Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.

NEB Acts 4.26 The kings of the earth took their stand and the rulers made common cause Against the Lord and against his Messiah". 27 They did indeed make common cause in this very city against the holy servant Jesus whom you did annoint as Messiah. Herod and Pontius Pilate conspired with the Gentiles and people of Israel,

GNB Acts 4.26 The kings of the earth prepared themselves, and the rulers met together against the Lord and his Messiah.' 27 For indeed Horod and Pontius Pilate met together in this city with the Gentiles and the people of Israel against Jesus, your holy Servant, whom you made Messiah.

NWT Acts 4.26 The kings of the earth took their stand and the rulers massed together as one against Jehovah and against his annointed one. 27 Even so, both Herod and Pontius Pilate with [men of] nations and with the peoples of Israel were in actuality gathered together in this city against your holy servant Jesus, whom you annointed.

NAB Acts 4.26 The kings of the earth took their stand and the princes together against the Lord, and against his annointed.' 27 Indeed they gathered in this city against your holy servant Jesus whom you annionted, Herod and Pontius Pilate, together with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,

NKJV Acts 4.26 The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ.' 27 For truely against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You annointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel were gathered together.

KJV Acts 4.30 By stretching forth your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

NIV Acts 4.30 Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.

NEB Acts 4.30 Stretch out thy hand to heal and cause signs and wonders to be done through the name of thy holy servant Jesus.

GNB Acts 4.30 Stretch out your hand to heal, and grant that wonders and miracles may be performed through the name of your holy Servant Jesus.

NWT Acts 4.30 While you stretch out your hand for healing and while signs and portents  occur through the name of your holy servant Jesus.

NAB Acts 4.30 as you stretch forth (your) hand to heal, and signs and wonders are done through the name of your holy servant Jesus."

NKJV Acts 4.30 By stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.

Denying the Sonship of Jesus; and calling Him God's servant.       Seperating the name Jesus from Christ;              Changing Christ to annointed one.

These are but a comparative few of the examples of these particular changes to the Word of God.

Consider the following scriptures from Matthew:

Mt.16.15 He said unto them, But whom say you that I am ? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar‐jona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto you, That you are Peter (Gk: petros: a piece of rock or a stone), and upon this rock (Gk: petra; a mass of rock) I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
The rock that the church is built upon is that our Father which is in heaven reveals to His people, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God . Only those who are drawn to Jesus by the Father can come to Him; and only those who follow Jesus in Spirit and in Truth, can come to the Father.

KJV Jn.5.18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he had not only broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

NIV Jn.5.18 For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

NWT Jn.5.18 On this account, indeed, the Jews began seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was also calling God his own Father.

NAB Jn.5.18 For this reason the Jews tried all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the sabbath but he also called God his own Father, making himself equal to God.

NKJV Jn.5.18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

We have agreement in Jn.5.18, in all these translations; in the light of this, consider the following scriptures:
KJV Jn.6.65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
KJV Jn.8.28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things.
KJV Jn.8.38 I speak that which I have seen with My Father: and you do that which you have seen with your father.
KJV Jn.10.17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

Jn.10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of these works do you stone me.
KJV Jn.20.17 Jesus said unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father. 21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father has sent me, even so send I you.

NIV Jn.6.65 He went on to say, "This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.
NIV Jn.8.28 So Jesus said,"When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me." 38 I am telling you what I have seen in the Father's presence, and you are doing what you have heard from your father.
NIV Jn.10.17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life‐‐‐only to take it up again.
NIV Jn.10.29 My Father who has given them to me is grester than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and the Father are one. 31 Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, 32 but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?"
NIV Jn. 20.17 Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.''' 21 Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.

NWT Jn.6.65 So he went on to say; "This is why I have said to YOU, No on can come to me unless it is granted him of the Father.

NWT Jn.8.28 Therefore Jesus said: "When once YOU have lifted up the Son of man, then YOU will know that I am [he], and that I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me I speak these things. 38 What things I have seen with my Father I speak; and YOU, therefore, do the things YOU have heard from [YOUR] father."
NWT Jn.10.17 This is why the Father loves me, because I surrender my soul, in order that I may receive it again. 29 What my Father has given me is something greater than all other things, and no one can snatch them out of the hand of the Father. 30 I and the Father are one. 31 Once more the Jews lifted up stones to stone him   32 Jesus replied to them: "I displayed to YOU many fine works from the Father. For which of those works are YOU stoning me?"
NWT Jn.20.17 Jesus said to her: "Stop clinging to me. For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and YOUR Father and to my God and YOUR God.' " 21 Jesus, therefore, said to them again: " May YOU have peace. Just as the Father has sent me forth, I also am sending YOU.

NAB Jn.6.65 And he said, "For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father."
NAB Jn.8.28 So Jesus said (to them), "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you shall realize that IAM, and that I do nothing on my own, but I say only what the Father taught me." 38 I tell you what I have seen in the Father's presence; then do what you have heard from the Father.
NAB Jn.10.17 This is why the Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again. 29 My Father who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can take them out of the Father's hand. 30 The Father and I are one." 31 The Jews again picked up rocks to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of these are you trying to stone me?"

NAB Jn.20.17 Jesus said to her, "Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, 'I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" 21 (Jesus) said to them, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you."

NKJV Jn.6.65 And he said, "Therefore I have said to you, that no one can come to Me, unless it has been granted to him by my Father."

NKJV Jn.8.28. Then Jesus said to them, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things. 38 I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your Father."
NKJV Jn.10.17 Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. 30 I and My Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, "Many good works have I shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?"

KJV Mt.25.31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory.
KJV 2Ptr.1.21 For the prophesy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost

KJV Rev.18.20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and all you holy apostles and prophets; for God has avenged you on her.

NIV Mt. 25.31 When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angles with him, he will sit on the throne in heavenly glory.

NIV 2Pet.1.21 For prophesy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

NIV Rev.18.20 Reloice over her, O heaven! Rejoice, saints and apostles and phophets!

NEB Mt.25.31 'When the Son of man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, he will sit in state on his throne,
NEB 2Pet.1.21 For it is not through any human whim that men prophesied of old; men they were, but, impelled by the Holy Spirit, they spoke the words of God.
NEB Rev.18.20 But let heaven exalt over her; exalt, apostles and prophets and people of God; for in judgement against her he has vindicated your cause!
GNB Mt.25.31 When the Son of man comes as king and all the angels with him, he will sit on his royal throne.
GNB 2Pet.1.21 For no prophetic message ever came just from the will of man, but men were under the control of the Holy Spirit as they spoke the message that came from God.
GNB Rev.18.20 Be glad heaven because of her destruction! Be glad, God's people and the apostles and prophets! For God has condemned her for what she did to you!

NWT Mt.25.31 When the Son of man arrives in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit down on his glorious throne.
NWT 2Pet1.21 For prophesy was at no time brought by man's will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit.
NWT Rev18,20 "Be glad over her, O heaven, also you holy ones and you apostles and you prophets, because God has judicially exacted punishment for you on her!"
NAB Mt 25.31 When the son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne.
NAB 2Pet 1.21 for no prophesy ever came through human will, but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God.
NAB Rev 18.20 Rejoice over her, heaven, you holy ones, apostles and prophets. For God has judged your case against her."

NKJV Mt 25.31 "When the Son of man comes in His glory, and all the holy angles with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
NKJV 2Pt.1.21 for prophesy never came be the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the holy Spirit.
NKJV Rev.18.20 Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her!"

The chosen children of God will not be deceived by these false translations.

KJV 1Jn.4.9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

NIV 1Jn.4.9 This is how God showed his love among us: he sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
NEB 1In.4.9 and his love was disclosed to us in this, that he sent his only Son into the world to bring us to life.
GNB 1Jn.4.9 And God showed his love for us by sending his only Son into the world, so that we might have life through him.

NWT 1Jn.4.9 By this the love of God was made manifest in our case, because God sent forth his only begotten Son into the world that we might gain life through him.

NAB 1Jn 4.9 In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might have life through him.

NKJV 1Jn.4.9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

Jesus is God's only begotten Son.

KJV 1Jn.5.7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, The Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.   8 And there are three that bear record in earth, the Spirit, the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

NIV 1Jn.5.7 For there are three that testify:    8 the Spirit the water and the blood: and these three are in agreement.

NEB 1Jn.5.7 For there are three witnesses    8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and these three are in agreement.

GN 1Jn.5.7 There are three witnesses    8 the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and all three give the same testimony.

NWT 1Jn.5.7 For there are three witness bearers.    8 the spirit and the water and the blood, and the three are in agreement.

NAB 1Jn 5.7 So there are three that testify.   8 The Spirit, the water, and the blood, and the three are of one accord.

The scripture in 1Jn.5.7 in the KJV has many witnesses. It was referred to by Tertullian, as scripture, in the 3rd centuary. It was quoted, in Latin, by Cyprian of Carthage around 250AD, and by Casiodorus, who lived between 480 and 570AD. Aurelius Augustine referred it in defending Trinitarianism against the heresies of Seballianism. In 415AD the Council of Carthage appealed to it when debating the Ariens who do not believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ. Jerome's Vulgate included it from 800AD; and the Waldensian Vaudois Bible, which came from texts from Antioch around 120AD included the Triniterian scripture. (www.chick.com/ask/articles/1Jn 5.7)

NKJV 1Jn.5.7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.

Which is the true 1Jn.5.7,8 ?      Pray about it.

Consider:

Jn.8.19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, You neither know me nor my Father: If you had known me, you should have known my Father also.
Jn.10.30 I and my Father are one.
Jn.14.7 If you had known me, you should have known my Father also: and from henceforth you know him, and have seen him. 8 Phillip said unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus said unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known me, Phillip? he that has seen me has seen the Father; and how sayest you then, show us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwells in me, he does the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very work's sake.

KJV Rev.2.13 I know thy works, and where thou dwell, even where Satan's seat is: and thou hold fast my name, and have not denied my faith, even in those days wherin Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwells.

KJV Rev.17.6a And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs (Gk: marturon, martus) of Jesus:

NIV Rev.2.13 I know where you live--where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, not even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city--where Satan lives.

NIV Rev.17.6a I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God's holy people, the blood of those who bore testamony  to Jesus.

NWT Rev.2.13 I know where you are dwelling, that is, where the throne of Satan is; and yet you keep on holding fast my name, and you did not deny your faith in me even in the days of Antipas my witness, the faithful one, who was killed by your side, where Satan is dwelling.

NWT Rev.17.6a And I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus.

NAB Rev.2.13 "I know that you live where Satan's throne is, and yet you hold fast to my name and have not denied your faith in me, not even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was martyred among you, where Satan lives.

NAB Rev.17.6a I saw that the woman was drunk on the blood of the holy ones and on the blood of the witnesses of Jesus.

NKJV Rev.2.13 I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful Martyr, was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

NKJV Rev.17.6a I saw the woman, drunk with the blood  of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.

KJV Rev.14.1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

NIV Rev.14.1 Then I looked, and there befroe me was the Lamb, standing on mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.

NWT Rev.14.1 And I saw, and, look! the Lamb standing upon the mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads.

NAB Rev.14.1 Then I looked and there was the Lamb standing on mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand, who has his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.

KJV Rev.22.14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

NIV Rev.22.14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.

NEB Rev.22.14 Happy are those who wash their robes clean! They will have the right to the tree of life and will enter in by the gates of the city.

GN Rev.22.14 Happy are those who wash their robes clean and so have the right to eat the fruit from the tree of life and to go through the gates into the city.

NWT Rev.22.14 Happy are those who wash their robes, that the authority [to go] to the trees of life may be theirs and that they may gain entrance into the city by it's gates.

NAB Rev 22.14 Blessed are they who wash their robes, so as to have the right to the tree of life, and enter the city through the gates.

Herein lies the difference between those who are deceived into believing that they are already saved by blind faith in the redeeming blood of the Lamb: and those who look foward in hope of their salvation through sanctification of the Spirit through the living faith of obedience to the will of God, and belief of the truth, and the redeeming blood of the Lamb.

KJV 1Ptr.1.2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit unto obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace be multiplied.
KJV Mt.7.21 Not everyone that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.
KJV 2Thes.2.13 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth.
KJV Rev.14.12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus Christ.
KJV Rev.14.17 And the dragon was wrath with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
KJV 1Jn.5.1 Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loves him that begat loves him also that is begotten of him. 2 By  this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grevious.

NWT Rev.22:19 and if anyone takes anything away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take his portion away from the trees of life and out of the holy city, things which are written about in this scroll.

NAB Rev.22:19 and if anyone takes away from the word of this prophetic book , God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city described in this book.

NKJV Rev.22:19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

KJV Rev 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

NIV Rev.22:21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen.

NET Rev.22:21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.

GNT Rev.22:21 May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.

NWT Rev.22:21 [May] the undeserved kindness of the Lord Jesus Christ [be] with the holy ones.

NAB Rev.22:21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.

NKJV Rev.22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

KJV Rev 22:20 He which teatifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so come Lord Jesus.

NIV Rev.22:20 He who testifies to these things says, "Yes I am comming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

GNT Rev.22:20 He who gives his testimony to all this says, "Yes, indeed! I am comming soon!"

NWT Rev.22:20 He that bears witness of these things says, 'Yes; I am comming quickly.'

NAB Rev 22:20 The one who gives this testimony says, "Yes, I am comming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

NKJV Rev.22:20 He who testafies to these things says, "Surely I am comming quickly". Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Which is true? "Surely I come quickly"? or "I am comming soon"?

Understanding that about 2000 years are passed since the Lord Jesus Christ said this, it does not seem that He was saying that He was comming soon; But when we consider that when He does come, people will be going about their every day pursuits; eating and drinking, buying and selling, marrying and giving in marriage, until the time that the last trumpet begins to blow, and the sign of the Son of man appears in heaven, and the comming of the Son of man will be as the lightning commeth out of the east and shinneth even unto the west; suddenly, quickly; even as Lot was leaving Sodom, that very day it rained fire and brimstone from heaven.

Rev>22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Please pray that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, will reveal to you by His Holy spirit, His Truth concerning these differences in Bibles.

The time will come when the false phophet and the beast and the deceived, will set up a world religion, associating themselves into a Confederation of religeons.
They will convince the people of the world, whose names are not written in the Lamb's book of life, that all "believers" have everlasting life; no matter which version of God they believe in, or which "christ" they follow.

If we truely believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, we will do our best to obey Him. Too many people "believe"' that Jesus is their Lord, even though they do not obey Him. If we do not obey Him, He is not our Lord, and we are taking His name in vain; and in vain will call upon Him, Lord, Lord, on the day of judgement.

There are around 3000  versions of the Bible in these days of merchandising and apostasy: translated from Vaticanus/Sinaiticus, and Alexanderian manuscripts, Nestle and Aland New Testament, and Wescott and Hort's Greek New Testament (which was created as 'a new translation for a new order').

There are very many subtle changes that have been made in these texts.

In very many scriptures Jesus Christ becomes Jesus, and God's Son becomes God's servant.
The rock that the church is built on; is that the Father in heaven reveals to the hearer of the gospel, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Children of God, please consider these scriptures prayerfully.

Those many who will not be chosen, will pull away the shoulder, and stop their ears, that they should not hear.

Fear God!

Give Glory to Him.

Rest in the presence of the Lord.

Be among those chosen to salvation.

In Christ Jesus, our Redeemer, and Lord, and Saviour.

Amen! Amen?
