Rev.11.3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prohesy a thousand two hundred and three score days, clothed in sackcloth. 4
These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before
the God of the earth. 5 And if any man hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouth, and devours their enemies: and if any man hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. 6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not
in the days of their prophesy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. 7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast
that ascends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and
Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. 9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwell on the earth. 11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life
from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and a great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up here. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud;
and their enemies beheld them.
Who are these two witnesses?
Is.43.1 But now
thus saith the Lord that created thee O Jacob, and he that formed thee O Israel, fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by name; thou art mine.
Is.43.10 You are my two witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 11 I, even I , am the Lord: beside me there is no saviour.
12 I have declared, and I have saved, and I have showed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore you are
my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God.
Is.44.1 Yet now hear, O Jacob my
servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:
Is.44.6 Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last;
and beside me there is no God. 7 And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and
shall come, let them show unto them. 8 Fear you not, neither be afraid: have not I told you from that time, and have declared it ? you are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me ? Yes there is no God; I know not any.
According to the Lord; according
to the King of Israel; according to the Lord of Hosts; Jacob and Israel, His servant and His chosen, are His two witnesses.
Man's tradition would have them to be Moses and Elijah.
Which is correct? God, or man's tradition?
The two witnesses are the two olive trees.
Rev.11:3
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and therr score days, clothed in sackcloth. 4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before
the God of the earth.
The two olive trees are: the good olive tree: natural Israel; Jacob (His servant): and the wild olive tree: Spiritual Israel; Israel (His chosen).
Rom.11.15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead ? 16 For if the first fruits be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the
root be holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them partakest
of the root and the fatness of the olive tree; 18 Boast not aganist the branches. But if you boast, you bear not the root, but the root you. 19 You will say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he spare not you. 22 Behold therefore
the goodness and severity of God; on them that fell, severity; but toward you goodness, if you continue in his goodness: otherwise you also shall be cut off. 23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For if you
were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into the good olive tree: how much more
shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted in to their own olive tree ? 25 For I would not, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits, that blindness in part is happened
to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness
from Jacob: Hallelujah!
The two olive trees are natural Israel and spiritual Israel.
The two witnesses are Jacob and Israel: the remnant of Jacob (Is.10.20-27), and the Christians.
The two witnesses are also the two candlesticks.(Rev.11.4).
The two candlesticks are Judahism, and Christianity.
( Christianity: the Unity of the one Body of Christ; built by the Lord Himself of those chosen living stones who love Him and are His disciples in Spirit and in Truth).
Candlesticks, are, in the book of Revelation, churches.
Rev.1.20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou saw in my right hand, and the seven golden
candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou saw are the seven churches.
In
Revelation 11.3,4 the Lord speaks of His two witnesses as being the two candlesticks; which are the two olive trees.
These
shall be made into one candlestick by the Spirit of the Lord of hosts.
This is the Word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel.
Zech.4.1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep. 2 And he said unto me, What seest thou ? and behold a
candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof: 3 And two
olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof: 4 So I answered and spoke to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord ? 5 Then the angel
that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 6 Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying, This is the
word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
The Word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel was the candlestick and the two olive trees. What it is saying, is that the two
olive trees will empty out their golden oil into one candlestick, not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit
of the Lord of hosts.
(The Lord of Hosts shall come spiritually with His army to fight against the beast and his army, and the kings of the
earth and their armies. see Rev.19:11-21).
Zech.4.11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side therof ? 12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the
two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves ? 13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be ? And I said, No, my lord. 14 Then said he, These are the two
annointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth (see Rev.11:4).
Rev.11.7 And when they shall have finished their testimony,
the beast that ascendes out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. 8
And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
The great
city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified, are the cities of the world. Sodom,
being man's society; and Egypt, being the world: where also
our Lord was crucified; among mankind, in the world.
The witness being, The Lord
is God. Jehovah is God. Jesus Christ is Lord. There is no other. There is no other Saviour. Yes, there is no other God, I know not any.
These two witnesses, clothed in sackcloth (because of their inability at that time, to buy anything), will witness of the true God, during the forty and two months; the one thousand two
hundred and sixty days, the three and one half years, (360 day years), from the time that the beast is given rulership of the world, until they have finished their testimony; until the beast that assends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against
them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
They shall be killed by the beast, lie unburyed in the streets of the cities of the world, until
a great voice from heaven calls unto them, "Come up here". And they shall ascend up to heaven in a cloud. Hallelujah!!!
These two witnesses shall be in the
first resurrection, before the thousand years; and shall reign with Christ, during the thousand years, in heaven. (see studies on 'Resurrection from the dead'
in 'First Principles', and 'the Lord's return').
After this resurrection of these servants and chosen of God, the Light will go out of the world, and the evening of the Day of the Lord will
begin.
Amos 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it to you? the day of the Lord is darkness and not light. 19 As if a man did flee
from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpant bit him. 20 Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
Fear God!
To God be the glory!
The Lord our God, the Holy One of Israel is God; there is no other.
Before Him there was no God formed, neither shall
there be after Him.
He, even He, is the Lord, and beside Him there is no Saviour.
The Lord is God.
The Lord, the Holy One, the Creator of Israel, our King.
Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of Hosts; I am the first and the last; and beside me there is no God.
Is
there a God beside me? there is no God; I know not any.
for the Lord has redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
Rev.15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled wit fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his
name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. 3 And they (Jacob) sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and (Israel) the song of the Lamb, saying,
Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. 4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy
judgements are made manifest.
