What are the wedding garments?
Mt.22.1 And Jesus answered and spoke unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven
is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden (natural Israel) to the wedding:
and they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. 7 But when the king heard thereof, he was
wrath: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8 Then said he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go you therefore into the highways,
and as many as you shall find (the Gentiles), bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad
and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. 11 And when the king came in to see the guests,
he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And he said unto him, Friend, how came you in here not having a wedding garment ? And he was speechless. 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
Mt.25.1 Then
shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were
foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But
the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the
bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold,
the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said
unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go you rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went
to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage:
and the door was shut. 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comes.
They that were ready! Those wise virgins,
had been doing the will of the Father in heaven; following, and resting in the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ in righteousness, and had the oil of joy
of the Holy Spirit, and were known by the Lord. Those foolish virgins had been hearing the Word, but not doing it; and had no
oil of joy of the Holy Spirit; and were not known by the Lord.
Romans 14:17 But the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, peace,
and joy in the Holy Spirit.
John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
John
10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
The Wedding Garments
Is.61.3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty (Strongs 6287; [used once only]; pe'er: embellishment; fancy head dress, beautiful attire) for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
Is.61.10 I will greatly rejoice
in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God: for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with
ornaments, as a bride adornes herself with her jewels. 11 For as the earth brings forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring
forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise
to spring forth before all the nations.
It would seem that the wedding garments are the garments
of salvation.
The Oil of Joy, the Garment of Praise
and the Robe of Righteousness.
Hallelujah!
To God be the Glory!
There are other things required of us for entry into the kingdom of heaven.
Mt.7.21 Not
everyone that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven; but they that do the will of my Father which is in heaven.
1Th.4.3a For this is the will of God, even your sanctification,

Ps.150.1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise
him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet:
praise him with the psaltry and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise
him with the stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high
sounding cymbals. 6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
Jer.33.11 The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of
the bridegroom, and voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the Lord
of hosts: for the Lord is good; for his mercy endures forever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord.
For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the Lord.
Lu.19.37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent
of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise
God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen: 38 Saying, Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
Eph.1.5
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace,
wherein he has made us accepted in the beloved.
Heb.13.15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the
fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
Rev.19.5 And a voice came out from the throne, saying, Praise our God, all you his servants, and you that fear him,
both small and great. 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, the Lord God omnipotent reigns. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife has made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in
fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righreousness of the saints. 9 And he said unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
The garment of praise, the oil of Joy, the robe of righteousness, thanksgiving, and sanctification.
A warning!
The man without the wedding garments, actually got
to the wedding. When asked how he came in without wedding garments, he was speechless; he was not accostomed to praising the Lord; he was not used to thanking the Lord; he had not been confessing his
sins unto the Lord, and so was unrighteous; and not able to answer the king, was tied hand and foot, and taken away, and cast into outer darkness, which is the destiny of all who are called and not chosen (see study on:'Eternal
Judgement' in 'First Principles').
Fear God!
Give Glory unto Him.
Rejoice in the Lord!
Love God! Praise God! Thank God!
Walk in the righteousness of God!
Rest in Him unto sanctification.
